OLPE — On the road without injured quarterback Cade Simmons in the lineup, the St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers season came to a end against Olpe 14-0 in Fridays Class 1A semi-final matchup.

Without Simmons the Panthers mustered less than 100 yards of total offense. Panther fullback Domenic Bevilacqua finished with 36 yards.

The Panthers defense did a great job keeping the scoreline close, however the offense failed to take advantage of their trips into the redzone.

Colgan committed six turnovers, including four interceptions.

Colby Hoelting put the Eagles on the board with a six-yard touchdown pass to Cam Hoelting in the first quarter. Carter Cox scored on a goal line rush to extend the lead in the first half.
